About

This blog is a place where I can respond to MormonThink.  The idea of MormonThink is really great:

"The purpose of this site is to generate discussion and to encourage people to think more objectively about issues involving the doctrine, practices and history of the LDS church. Many Latter-day Saints are completely unaware of some or all of the issues discussed here, or have an incomplete, one-sided view of them. We present arguments and responses from both critics of the church and true-believing members and give our own opinions."
The site gets kudos for linking to arguments for both sides and presenting some arguments for both sides. However, the "own opinions" part is highly biased against the church. Where equally plausible arguments exist in favor or against the church, the site invariably comes down on the side of disbelief. I've read through a lot of the site and fail to find a single instance where they come out in favor of the Church. For a site conceived in so-called objectivity, I find this lopsided treatment disturbing. I don't mind that MormonThink is anti-mormon, I just think they shouldn't engage in false advertisment.

The purpose of MormonThinkHarder is to offer a response of one Latter-Day Saint to the points found in MormonThink.  A reasonable and informed Latter-Day Saint can fully understand the arguments on MormonThink and harbor a vibrant testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
